Procrastinating

I am sitting here in the living room on the computer pondering on things that have happened this past summer. It seems to have gone so quickly, and I guess that is mostly do to my only being home for two of the three months. Nonetheless, it was a very good and somewhat productive summer. I should be packing right now but if you know me at all then you know that I am procrastinating at this very moment. ;) So while I procrastinate packing I might as well be somewhat productive and list the events of this past summer...

1. WORK!! Yes, the wonderfuly awful Wal Mart job. I love having a job that is not fast food, but along with having a real job comes real responsibility (i.e. less time I get to spend with family/friends). My job unfortunately almost stopped me from being able to come home for the summmer, but I made it.. with two months to spare.
2. Lots of time with friends!! Mostly out to eat, shop or get coffee (I love coffee)
3. Time with family!! From a funeral of a dear friends (practically my cousins... Eddie and Megan have been around my family for so long that being blood relatives could not make them any closer) baby and all the family getting together after that, to 4th of July celebration, a wedding, a new baby added to the family, and a family reunion. I love my family!
4. Church!! Being around my church family is what keeps me sane. I think I will take a moment here to brag on some of them....
1. The Royalty's (as in Pastor and Mrs. Jan Royalty) the best pastor that a person could ask for, along with the best pastor's wife. Rether it is helping to meet the needs of congregration to something as simple (but so much appreciated and sometimes overlooked by others) as sending the college students a box just to remind them that the church supports them and is praying for them.
2. The Royaltys (as in Pastor Joel and Mrs. Deena Royalty) Pastor Joel was the youth pastor when I was a teen at Gospel Baptist. We had lots of good and fun times with them both and getting to know each of the kids as the years went by. There are no other kids in this world that I like to babysit more than these six kids. I love them all so much and the family as a whole is always so willing to help whenever they can.
3. The Gotthardt's. Renee and her mom are so much fun to talk to. In our short car rides we have talked about almost any topic you can think of (music, dress, friends, love, church, religion, babies, girls...i.e. drama... and so much more. I am very thankful for their friendship
4. (and I must be moving on after this although there are so much more poeple that I would brag on if I had the time) The Mayville's. They have been my bus captain for about six years now I believe. I love working on a bus with them. They are very genorous and always giving to others. Very selfless and completey consumed with helping others out. Rather that means offering a hand or opening their home.

That is enough for this summer I suppose. I really need to go pack somemore now. As much as I'd love to put it off somemore, I really need to do it before I end up forgetting something. =] Which I will anyway.. but this way it is one less thing I will forget.

And with this I depart... there is always something left for us to learn. To get to a place where you think that you are unteachable is a very dangerous place to be. Learn from those around you, and take it with you wherever you go. Stay faithful to your Bible reading and church attendance (you will always learn something new in God's Word and in God's church)
