Procrastinating

I am sitting here in the living room on the computer pondering on things that have happened this past summer. It seems to have gone so quickly, and I guess that is mostly do to my only being home for two of the three months. Nonetheless, it was a very good and somewhat productive summer. I should be packing right now but if you know me at all then you know that I am procrastinating at this very moment. ;) So while I procrastinate packing I might as well be somewhat productive and list the events of this past summer...

1. WORK!! Yes, the wonderfuly awful Wal Mart job. I love having a job that is not fast food, but along with having a real job comes real responsibility (i.e. less time I get to spend with family/friends). My job unfortunately almost stopped me from being able to come home for the summmer, but I made it.. with two months to spare.
2. Lots of time with friends!! Mostly out to eat, shop or get coffee (I love coffee)
3. Time with family!! From a funeral of a dear friends (practically my cousins... Eddie and Megan have been around my family for so long that being blood relatives could not make them any closer) baby and all the family getting together after that, to 4th of July celebration, a wedding, a new baby added to the family, and a family reunion. I love my family!
4. Church!! Being around my church family is what keeps me sane. I think I will take a moment here to brag on some of them....
1. The Royalty's (as in Pastor and Mrs. Jan Royalty) the best pastor that a person could ask for, along with the best pastor's wife. Rether it is helping to meet the needs of congregration to something as simple (but so much appreciated and sometimes overlooked by others) as sending the college students a box just to remind them that the church supports them and is praying for them.
2. The Royaltys (as in Pastor Joel and Mrs. Deena Royalty) Pastor Joel was the youth pastor when I was a teen at Gospel Baptist. We had lots of good and fun times with them both and getting to know each of the kids as the years went by. There are no other kids in this world that I like to babysit more than these six kids. I love them all so much and the family as a whole is always so willing to help whenever they can.
3. The Gotthardt's. Renee and her mom are so much fun to talk to. In our short car rides we have talked about almost any topic you can think of (music, dress, friends, love, church, religion, babies, girls...i.e. drama... and so much more. I am very thankful for their friendship
4. (and I must be moving on after this although there are so much more poeple that I would brag on if I had the time) The Mayville's. They have been my bus captain for about six years now I believe. I love working on a bus with them. They are very genorous and always giving to others. Very selfless and completey consumed with helping others out. Rather that means offering a hand or opening their home.

That is enough for this summer I suppose. I really need to go pack somemore now. As much as I'd love to put it off somemore, I really need to do it before I end up forgetting something. =] Which I will anyway.. but this way it is one less thing I will forget.

And with this I depart... there is always something left for us to learn. To get to a place where you think that you are unteachable is a very dangerous place to be. Learn from those around you, and take it with you wherever you go. Stay faithful to your Bible reading and church attendance (you will always learn something new in God's Word and in God's church)

Bittersweet 23rd Birthday

I am now the ripe old age of 23! I had a very good birthday but am sad that I have to say goodbye to friends and family while I prepare to head back to college. I have two more years then I graduate with my Bachelors! =]

I miss Cranberry Wal Mart a lot... Boardman Wal Mart is just not the same. I have met a lot of great poeple here and have even come out with several new friendships. Since I am back to school that means I am back to blogging (and hopefully this semseter will go better than last dealing with how time I have to blog). My transfer has not completely gone through yet, and it needs to reach its almost last step tomorrow, or else I may be stuck in Ohio a little longer. YIKES! Don't want that.

I am excited about this school year but alittle nervous too, and am ready to be done with school. I will be sharing a room with Danielle and as far as I know there are no new girls this semester, which is a downer.

I must be off now, I have a lot of packing to do. Procrasination does not get you far.. trust me!!

Spring Break is over for me! =[

It was great getting to go home for a few days, but now I am back in Seneca, back to the college life. It is still pretty quite because there are not too many students here. For the girls it is just Dani Felicia and I, an for he guys there is Zachary, and kind of Bro. Paul. Everyone else is suppose to be back tomorrow by 9.
It was great being home though. I got to go to a friend of the families house with my mom on Saturday. The family played quite a few games and myself and Zaida won the egg toss (Zaida is only like 5 or 6 years old, but our egg was the last one standing.. it was great.) I of course went to church on Sunday then we had Easter dinner at my Aunt's like we always do. It was nice seeing the family and meeting my cousins David and Sammy's girlfriends for the first time.

I also babysat the Royalty kids, and this time Mrs. Royalty trusted me with watching Alayana (I was so excited) she is so cute and I could hardly put her down. =]

Now back to staying up late doing last minute homework, working around 20 hours a week, avoiding certain roommates who gab too much, and trying to survive helper's schedule (which really isn't bad, I like my helper schedule this semester.)

But I do have to tell this one story before I go. Nathan Royalty (who is I wanna say four years old) came up to me Sunday night (my church is starting the Spring push and we have a goal of how much tracts are to be passed out) and he handed me a tract and said "Would you like one Miss Clara?" I then said to him "Nazey, I think you are suppose to give those to people who don't already have them." to which he replied, "My daddy said to give them to people who don't go to church." =] I laughed and then of course explained to him that I am in college, but still go to church. I love that kid!! I love all of them!!!

Gotta go get ready for church now.. back to Thursday night services. =]

For Renee!

Renee, I miss you soooo much, and you can imagine my surprise (okay, more so blondness) in while sitting here in the computer lab with my friend Dani, that I see that I have a follower. I was sooo excited, but new it had to be you. haha. But I was very excited even yet! So, you may have been following my blog for awhile, but it is news to me. =] (Once a blond always a blond, right?) I promise to not be so busy anymore and to update more often! =] Tell Kelly I say hi, and your mom and dad of course. Can't wait to see yall for Easter!

Cupcake Caper!

Things here have been kinda crazy. But I am going to talk about the good, not the bad. =]
Last night we had a play here. It was a church ride play and the chapel was pretty full. It was suppose to be a murder mystery but the script Mrs. Posey got for that was not very decent, so it switched to the cupcake caper. It was a really good play, and went over well. There were six of us in it (P. Jon was the dad, Mrs. B was the mom, Logan, Emily and Seth were the children -played by Oleg, Jessara and bro. Matt- and I was Jessis, Logan's girlfriend) someone stole the engagement ring that Logan bought for me and dad had to figure out who it was... it was really neat, and all though nervous at first, it went well. I will post some pictures of it later.
Spring Break starts next Friday and I am riding most of the way with Heather Slaughenhopt. I am so excited, i get to go home for five days, and I cannot wait. My mom already has my Saturday planned for me. It is going to be great!
Ensemble is starting again. Our first chruch is this Wednesdya, but I cannot go because I have to work, but will be switching from Wednesdays to Saturdays so that I can go on the rest.
That is about all fro now. Can't wait for bus tomorrow!!!!!!!! I love those kids! (I cannot wait to see my bus kids back home!!)

Wal Mart update

This week has been very confusing. Everyone arguing and bad attitudes flying, so I will just update on my Wal Mart job. I got my 90 day review... it was all good. Praise the Lord. The manager said that everyone loves me and that customer service has even gone up.. I assured her that, that was not me, but she insisted that it was... they probably ahve to say that. lol. But, she said they are going to give me more responsibilities and that if I continue the way I am that in nine months when I get my next review it is going to be great, and my raise will be as well. YAY! She also asked if there is any other department that I wanna work in. I told her photo lab would be nice and she said that she would talk to the department manager and see if they needed anyone else. YAY! I was so excited. So praise the Lord, at least one thing is going right.

I am very tired though, and am putting off going to my mom do to an unhappy and too emotional roommate but I guess if I go straight to bed then I do not have to talk to her. I miss everyone very much, and cannot wait to see everyone again!

Great Night at Work.

Work went great tonight. Well, to back up for a moment today was the first day back to classes. I have two Tuesday classes, which does not seem like much, but let me describe my day to you. One I help in Mrs. Knight's class every day this week from 12:30 to 3 when the kids are dismissed. But, I woke up at 7 this morning, go ready for the day, went to do my dorm duties, kitchen was TRASHED and took me almost a full hour to clean, then had orientation (in place of my first class) then chapel (Pause: Bro. Kerlin preached in chapel today. Everything he spoke on was just what I needed... waiting for the right one; being trustworthy; guarding your heart; not trusting you heart at the same time; etc... it was, well a great first chapel service of the semester) then I had Gospel of John I which Pastor Jon teaches. Then I had Teaching Reading (which is normally my frst class but was postponed because of orientation) so I was late for helper schedule. I dismissed the kids from school at 2:35, ran to my room got dressed for work, left for work because Mrs. B was already waiting for me ad had literally no time to think during all of this. I loved it. (Oh, and how I said I give the guys until Friday before their drama starts up... negative... already started.. last night. Come on guys, at least act like adults!)

Work was amazing. Fabrics and crafts was th busies it has been in the past two months. An old lady did yell at me, but no biggy there. I was literally cutting fabric for my first two hours straight. But then I went to people greet for an hour. Everyone was super super super nice today. I talked to so many people that I normally don't carry conversations with and even met a couple new people. It was great! If tomorrow goes half as good, I will be overwhelmed with excitement. =] =]

I am now going to help Schwartzie with homework, and give Lori my notes from class. Until next time!!!! Miss you all!

Back to Normal (Well as normal as it gets)

Everyone is now back from vacation. Except for Jonathan and Christian, who commute on weekends so do not need to be back until today. They decided to keep us girls in two rooms, which I think was a great decision. So my roomies this semester are.. Lori Race (her sister Susan was my roomie last semester, but graduated) and still Schwartzie. I love her so much and am so glad that she is here this year.. trust me, it would have been wayyyyy difficult without her. Classes start tomorrow, and the feeling of nothing had changed is great. Everyone came back and we just picked up were we left off. Most drama has been forgotten and so far everyone is getting along.. so far! It will change, I give it until Friday, by then the guys would have almost killed each other and us girls will be laughing at how immature they are while some of us avoid each other to refrain from getting in the same situation the guys get themselves in. Same ol' same.

I am in the computer lab experiencing once again an almost empty Faith Baptist facility. Today there is no school so Pastor Jon took the teens and college students on an ice skating activity in Meadville. They will not return until about 5 or 5:30, and yours truly has to be at work at 4. =] But the Kerlin's also work at four, which makes me feel better, and Lori is around here somewher. She is my roommate but I have not seen her since about 7 this morning when she woke me up while she was getting ready. She never seems to be around much, which is wierd, because there are not many places to hide out around here. Hmmmm.. maybe she has found all the good spots!

I am, once again, setting my blog to private. I am not having a problem with it, just well, I'd rather know who is viewing it rather than having no idea. =] Okay, and there is one guy here at school who gives me the heeby geeby's (is that spelled right? Hmmm, no idea) and he has recently discovered my blog. Sure, I haven't updated much later, but I really am going to from now on. ;)

Bus went great yesterday, we had 41 riders.. highest amount since I've been back this school year... Praise the Lord! Two girls came forward for salvation, and I got to talk to both of them. They both accepted Christ as their Savior, and it was just an awesome day. I was so excited.

That is all for now. I mist go do laundry and get ready for work! Fun, fun, fun!! =]

MUCH MUCH MUCH overdue update

Yesterday was the first day of our Christmas break, and do you wanna know where I am? Still at college. Why? Because I have a new job at Wal Mart (which I love) and I have to work most of break. I do get to go home for five days though, which is nice, sad, but nice. LOTS has gone on in the past well little over two months since I posted last, so much that I cannot even begin to remember it all. I somewhat purposely gave my blog a break just so I did not get too caught up in it, but also have been very busy. But, now I have some free time, and who knows when I will post again.

This semester is over though. I believe I passed all my finals, and have no doubts that I passed all my classes. (Now that I said that, I will flunk one, lol.) Anywho, I am going to be taking 19 credits next semester, that includes one voice class from Mr. Ives,I am really looking forward to that. =]

I am the only college student that did not go home this break. It has been hard staying in the dorm by myself. I have come to the conclusion that I am just terrified of being alone, and that is exactly what I am here. it seems wierd, but so true. It is only when I am alone that I started getting worried and scared, so me being alone, is not good. lol. Mrs. Knight invited me over earlier and I got to watch a movie there, then we went to the mall, and then I made dinner for the Propst and Speer kids (plus I made my mama's famous chocolate pudding, graham cracker, banana cake -minus the banana's.. I didnt have any - for desert and five of the six of them wantedn seconds, needless to say, it is all gone now, lol) but it is nights that are the worse. I know there are so many people on the same property as I am, but I still have the hole upstairs, and really this entire side of the building to myself. I felt like such a little girl last night because I left the light in one of the closets on. However, it seems as though every single verse that I have read in my devotions has applied to just about every feeling I have had the past couple days. Sad, lonely, tired, confused, frustrated, and even overjoyed. (Overjoyed about what? First, all the millions of blessings the Lord has given me this semester, and through out my entire life; second, finals are over; third, that I do get to go home for Christmas, even if it isn't as long as everyone else gets to be home.) I made a new rule for myself, that if ever I get sad or discouraged, I have to start naming all the blessings that I have been given from God, and dwell on those, instead of my discouragement. That has helped a lot. Nights are still bad (which it is night now, that is why I am on here), but I think it will get better.

"Schwartzie" (Heather Schwartz) has been nothing but a blessing to me though. She left me lots of notes around the room and kitchen, plus lots of food, lol, and has assured me that God is going to get me through this next month and that I will come out of it more mature. =] I love her, she also told me to sleep with one of my many stuffed animals.. lol, she doesn't even know the half of how many I have. ;) but she thinks that will make me feel better. So I am going to try it tonight.

I got to go visiting with Bro. Matt and Kristen this morning though. That was a lot of fun. It is not the bus route that I help out on, but I still know most of those kids and love em just as much. (I love bus kids... they're the greatest!!!) I am also excited that even though I am not home, my bus route here is just as much home to me as my actual home is. So Sundays will be the highlights of my weeks here by myself, plus I will hopefully be going to the Schwartz's house one of these weekends, and Ashley might come visit me as well, we will see I guess. And I have Bethy here, and I absolutely love her. She is the greatest!

The B's (Bernards) are my adopted family this school year though, and I absolutely love them. Mrs. B is always taking me to work and picking me up, and get this... there was this "Hoops and YoYo" mug from Hallmark that I really wanted, adn they got it for me for Christmas(thanks Kristen.. the most amazing adopted sister ever. hehe) plus LOTS of chocolate.. which I still have not finished (got it like two weeks ago) and I gave quite a bit away while teaching/sitting in on the kindergarten and first grade class. Plus, Schwartzie also had a couple pieces, I think.. she's probably the only other person I offered them too. hehe. Shhhhh!

Well, it is almost ten on Saturady night and since I have gotten very little sleep this week I think I will go to bed. (And if I am sleeping I cannot possibly think about being all alone over here.. hehe.) Although I did have a really wierd dream last night... and no Schwatzie I did not eat popcorn before bed this time... but I won't get into that, lets just say that Wal Mart loved me and did not want me to go home at all.. like ever. lol. Anywho, gonna finish my conversation with Schwartzie then off to bed. Any calls/emails at this time would be greatly appreciated. lol. If I am not busy! Miss you all, and cannot wait to see those of you who I am going to see next week. (Oh, by the way, I am coming home Wednesday =] )

And I am 100% okay with staying here if that means I get to keep my job at Wal Mart. I really do love it, and if I am not one of the ones to go after Christmas is over then I will be quiting Wendy's, so pray I get to keep this job, I really, really like it. Praise the Lord!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Two posts in one day... WOW!

This just does not happen anymore, but I am sitting here in the computer lab (Oleg has my computer... whatever he wanted to do he could not do on the computers in the lab for some reason) anyway, in the words of Mrs. Royalty "I digress"! I love her so much! But I am now just waiting for dating hours that way I can actually talk to Oleg and see what he is doing to my computer. lol, he is like a genius though, so i am sure it is nothing bad.. I hope. "I digress" once again. I miss so many people from back home. Looking at the Royalty blog though just reminded me of how much I miss them. This is going to seem really sad (on my part) but I even have a picture (as the screen saver on my computer) of Adelyn "Baby Chunk" and Brynna. They are not Royalty's, but i miss them soo much too. And just about every picture that I have of the Royalty's.. quite a few, has already had its fair share of being my screen saver. lol. But I really do miss them, and am hoping that they are still able to come up Monday of College Days.. which is a little over a week away! CRAZINESS!!! But the shirts this year are AWESOME!!!!!!!! lime green.. yes lime green! with blue print... very nice, and bright and bubbly.

But, back to the point of this post, not that there is one, but we will say there is. I am really looking forward to tomorrow. Sunday's just have a way of chasing all my worries and cares away. Nothing can hinder me on Sunday, and no one. It is the one day of the week that I get to sit and talk with the bus kids and see what is going on with them, the one day that I get to with so many of the church family, the one day were people put pettiness and selfishness aside and just sit and listen to the preaching of the Word of God. I know that not everyone forgets all pettiness and selfishness, but in my world, they do. So we will just go with that. Sunday is the perfect day though. The Lord's day. And it would do us all well to remember that.

I guess that is all for now. 15 minutes and then I can join the "dating" scene.. no I am not dating, and yes I am perfectly content with that... but it is still fun getting together with everyone and talking and playing games. We do have three dating couples this semester though.. if you count Felicia and Mike.. I don't think they even know if they are dating.. but they are! But that is two more than we had last semester...

Anywho, that really is all for now. Miss you all (unless you are at Faith right now and are reading this.. I see you all the time, so I don't miss you.. lol. just kidding. ) But I do miss everyone from back home!!!!!!! I will see you at Thanksgiving!!!! =]
